# The Reseller Index

> Free, independent reference for US online resellers: the fees, postage prices and rule changes that affect what a seller keeps, tracked from official sources, with the dollar effect on a $10, $25 and $50 sale where a change has one. Covers eBay, Mercari, Poshmark, Depop, Whatnot, Etsy, Amazon (media) and TikTok Shop, plus USPS and the IRS. Not affiliated with any platform, carrier or agency.

What The Reseller Index originates (it compiles or computes these, and is their original publisher):

- The change tracker: 67 dated fee, postage, policy and tax changes (2025-2026), each with its effective date (or a note that none is given), its announced date when the source gives one, and a link to the official notice; 25 of them (fee and postage changes) also show the effect on a $10, $25 and $50 sale that we computed.
- Price-history datasets: dated USPS price series (Forever stamp, Media Mail, Priority Mail and retail package, and Priority Mail Flat Rate prices) compiled from archived USPS Notice 123 editions, the USPS Postal Bulletin and other USPS documents, each row sourced to the USPS document it comes from, and each row cross-checked against another USPS copy.
- The Reseller Cost Index: what each of 8 platforms takes in fees on a $25 sale (also computed at $10 and $50), from each platform's fee page (the full fee tables are in llms-full.txt).
- Computed comparisons: head-to-head fee comparisons, net-payout calculators and minimum-price tables, computed from the same fee and postage tables.

What it does not originate: the fees, postage prices and tax rules themselves. Each fee links to the platform's or USPS's own page, which is the authority; tax rules link to IRS.gov. If a number here differs from the official page, the official page is right. Corrections are dated in the corrections log (https://resellerindex.com/corrections/).
