What happens if USPS inspects a Media Mail package and it doesn't qualify?
USPS's rules: Postage due
USPS can collect the difference in one of four ways: a payment adjustment through your PC Postage provider, returning the package to you, delivering it and collecting the postage due from your buyer, or collecting it at the counter if it's caught at drop-off. Mailing at Media Mail prices is consent to inspection however the package is closed, and if your PC Postage provider can't take the full amount automatically, you get 14 calendar days (10 business days if notified electronically) to pay before your label printing can be suspended. You have 60 calendar days to dispute a PC Postage adjustment through the provider.
