Watch Poshmark's $15 step: the flat $2.95 fee ends and 20% starts. A $14.99 sale leaves you $12.04, but a $15.00 sale leaves $12.00, and every price from $15.00 to $15.05 leaves you no more than $14.99 does.
With $5 buyer-paid shipping and 8% sales tax
Here the fee bases split apart. The buyer pays $5 for shipping and you spend the same $5 on the label, so what's left is the item price minus fees. 8% is an example tax rate, not an average; rates vary by place. Poshmark's buyer pays for Poshmark's label, so shipping isn't a seller cost there.

- With $5 shipping and 8% tax: You keep more on eBay at every price from $1.00 to $12.32, on Poshmark from $12.40 to $21.17, and on eBay from $21.53 to $25,000.00. Between $12.33 and $12.39, the two tie to the cent. Between $21.18 and $21.52, the two are within 1 cent of each other.
Women's bags & handbags: eBay 15%, or 9% on totals over $2,000
For women's bags & handbags, eBay charges 15% of the total instead of 13.6%, and 9% of the whole total once it is over $2,000 (eBay's fee page). Poshmark's fee is the same in every category (Poshmark's fee policy).

Athletic shoes: eBay 8% with no per-order fee from $150
For athletic shoes (men's and women's), eBay charges 8% of the total and no per-order fee once the total reaches $150 (eBay's fee page). Below that it's the usual 13.6% plus the per-order fee. Poshmark's fee is the same in every category (Poshmark's fee policy).
