TikTok Shop sales report for taxes: where to download it and what's in it

For a year of TikTok Shop sales with TikTok's fees broken out, download the settlement report: its Order details sheet "provides a detailed breakdown of settlement information at the SKU level, including fees." TikTok's help page says to go to Finances > Statements or Payouts in the Seller Center, click Export, select a date range, then download the file from Export History (TikTok Shop Academy, checked ). TikTok describes an Excel file of 5 spreadsheets covering the dates you choose, counted by when orders settle, not when they were placed. It shows product sales, refunds, your discounts, the shipping buyers paid, TikTok label costs, TikTok's fees and adjustments, and lists the sales tax TikTok collected. It doesn't include what you paid for your inventory, so its "total settlement amount" is what's left after TikTok's fees, label costs, refunds and adjustments, not your taxable profit. TikTok's Earnings Analytics page can also export revenue and fee data filtered by when buyers paid, and the 1099-K is a separate download under Seller Center > Finances > Tax.

How to download the TikTok Shop settlement report

These are the steps on TikTok's settlement report page; its Finances Page FAQ gives the same steps for statement and payout reports.

  1. Go to Finances > Statements or Payouts in the Seller Center.
  2. Click Export.
  3. Select a date range to export.
  4. Open Export History, where your downloaded files can be viewed.
  5. Select Download.

Orders that haven't settled yet aren't in the file. TikTok shows them under Finance > On hold, which has its own Export. TikTok starts a payout 1-31 days after an order's delivery date, so orders delivered at the end of December can settle in January. TikTok's Finances Page FAQ says a Reserve Details sheet has been added to the downloadable finance reports (reserve data for transactions after ), so your file may have more sheets than the 5 the settlement report page describes.

Which TikTok Shop download does which job

TikTok's help pages describe several downloads, and they count different things on different dates.

Menu paths from each TikTok Shop Academy page (linked in the last column), checked Oct 14, 2026, shortened to the menu names. TikTok writes "Finances" on some pages and "Finance" on others.

Earnings Analytics: TikTok's Earnings Analytics page (dated 02/05/2026) says it helps you "analyze your Shop's revenue and fees based on all transactions, including paid orders and settled adjustments," at the SKU level or for the whole account, and that "All filtered data can be exported for further use." It can filter by Order Settlement Time, Order Paid Time, Order Ship Time or Order Delivery Time, and only transactions created after are included. For checking the 1099-K itself, TikTok's 1099-K page points to the Orders Report and the 1099-K detailed report.

What's in the settlement report, and what isn't

TikTok says the settlement report gives "a settlement-based perspective, rather than an order creation-based view," and its Order details sheet breaks each settled order down to the SKU. Each row has a Statement Date (UTC), the order's created and delivered dates, and these amounts:

Columns of the Order details sheet as defined on TikTok Shop Academy's settlement report page, checked Oct 14, 2026. Column names and text in quotation marks are TikTok's; the other notes are ours.

What you paid for your inventory No None Cost of goods is not one of its columns. It comes from your own records.
Labels you bought outside TikTok No None The label column is for TikTok shipping. Receipts for labels bought elsewhere come from wherever you bought them.

Sales tax: TikTok's US Sales Tax FAQ says it is legally required to calculate, charge, collect and remit sales tax on TikTok Shop sales in jurisdictions with marketplace facilitator laws, and that all US states with a sales tax have those laws. It also says sellers "may still have a reporting obligation."

Does TikTok Shop send a 1099-K?

Yes, above a threshold. TikTok's 1099-K and Tax Form FAQs (page dated 05/14/2026) says that for the 2025 calendar year it issues a 1099-K if your gross payment volume on the platform exceeded $20,000 in more than 200 transactions, sends copies to you and the IRS by January 31 of the following year, and puts the form in Seller Center > Finances > Tax. The page says sellers under that threshold won't receive one.

The form reports unadjusted gross sales (UGS), broken out by the month the buyer's payment was processed. TikTok defines UGS as "product sales price + shipping fees - any seller provided discounts," not adjusted for refunds or cancellations after payment, platform discounts, shipping subsidies or other adjustments. Unsuccessful buyer payments aren't included. To see which orders make up the amount, TikTok's path is "Finance Taxes > 1099-K detailed report > click Generate and then download."

The federal rule. The IRS says a payment app or online marketplace is required to send a 1099-K when payments for goods or services total over $20,000 in more than 200 transactions, and that it "may send you a Form 1099-K with lower amounts and/or transactions" (Understanding your Form 1099-K, reviewed ). The same page says: "Whether or not you receive a Form 1099-K, you must still report any income on your tax return."

States can be lower. Some states have their own 1099-K thresholds. For example, Illinois's Publication 110 (R-01/26) requires 1099-Ks for payees with an Illinois address to be filed with the state when the payee has 4 or more separate transactions totaling over $1,000. Your state's tax department or a tax professional can say what applies to you. More on the federal rule: 1099-K for resellers.

Sales tax TikTok collected Sales tax payment, Sales tax refund Listed as supporting information; not one of the four parts of Total settlement amount
  • A check on each row: TikTok defines Total settlement amount as Net sales + Shipping + Fees + Adjustment amount.
  • Payouts can differ from settlements because of reserves: TikTok says payout amount = statement amount + reserve amount, and recommends payout records for matching your bank statements (settlement report page; Finances Page FAQ).
  • Checking the 1099-K: export the Orders Report (Orders > Manage Orders > Export). TikTok's formula is "1099-K amount = SKU Subtotal Before Discount - SKU Seller Discount + Original Shipping Fee - Shipping Fee Seller Discount." Only orders with a Paid Time count, and on an order with several items the shipping fee repeats on each line but is reported once, so count it once per Order ID (1099-K FAQs).
  • Fee invoices: under Finance > Invoices, TikTok issues monthly PDF invoices for the referral fee, promotion fee, logistics fee and CPS Ads fee, usually before the 15th of the following month. "Export invoice detail" gives an Excel file of those fees by order. Batch Export covers up to 3 months of PDF invoices at a time, but not the Excel details (Check Tax Invoices). Since , sellers with a business registration address in West Virginia or Texas also pay sales tax on the referral fee, shown in both the settlement report and the monthly invoice (TikTok).
  • Before 2024: TikTok says a report covering dates on both sides of Jan 1, 2024 comes with two separate sheets each for Order details, Statements and Report, because the format changed then.

Common questions

Where is the sales report in TikTok Shop Seller Center?

TikTok's help pages describe a few downloads. For each settled order broken down to the SKU with TikTok's fees, use the settlement report: go to Finances > Statements (or Payouts) in the Seller Center, click Export, select a date range, and download the file from Export History. TikTok's page describes an Excel file of 5 spreadsheets. To group sales by when buyers paid instead, TikTok's Earnings Analytics page says it can filter revenue and fee data by Order Paid Time (or settlement, ship or delivery time) and export it, for transactions created after Jan 1, 2025; that help page doesn't print a menu path.

Why doesn't my TikTok Shop 1099-K match my settlement report?

TikTok says the 1099-K "is not expected to match your actual payments received." The 1099-K counts unadjusted gross sales (product sales price + shipping fees - any seller provided discounts) in the month the buyer paid. The settlement report counts orders when they settle, which TikTok says can be a few weeks later, and it takes off refunds, shipping costs, referral fees, creator commissions and other charges.

Will TikTok Shop send me a 1099-K if I sold less than $20,000?

TikTok's page says that for the 2025 calendar year it issues a 1099-K when gross payment volume exceeded $20,000 in more than 200 transactions, and that sellers under that won't receive one. The IRS says platforms may send a 1099-K for lower amounts, and some states set lower thresholds of their own, such as Illinois, which requires 1099-Ks for payees with an Illinois address to be filed with the state at 4 or more transactions totaling over $1,000. The IRS also says: "Whether or not you receive a Form 1099-K, you must still report any income on your tax return." Check with a tax professional about your own situation.

Does the TikTok Shop settlement report include sales tax?

It lists it. The Sales tax payment and Sales tax refund columns show the sales tax TikTok collected from buyers, which TikTok says it calculates, collects and remits as the marketplace facilitator. Those columns are supporting information: Total settlement amount is Net sales + Shipping + Fees + Adjustment amount, without the tax. TikTok adds that sellers "may still have a reporting obligation" and suggests asking a tax advisor.

Is the total settlement amount my profit?

No. It is what is left after TikTok's fees, label costs, refunds and adjustments. What you paid for your inventory and supplies, and labels bought outside TikTok, aren't in it, so profit has to be worked out with your own records. How that is figured for taxes is a question for a tax professional.

What happens if I haven't given TikTok my tax information?

TikTok's 1099-K page says the IRS requires it to get your tax information before paying you, and that failing to provide it "triggers mandatory withholding at a rate of 24%" and may make you ineligible to sell. TikTok says to complete the W-9 under Account Setting-Tax.
