Amazon FBM: 90% of Amazon Business orders must arrive during business hours
From September 30, 2026, US seller-fulfilled shipments to Amazon Business customers must arrive during the customer's operating hours at least 90% of the time, measured over a rolling 14 days. Sellers below 90% on September 30 get a notice. If the rate hasn't improved by October 30, their FBM offers may be switched off for Amazon Business customers. Amazon says shipments that use Automated Handling Time, Shipping Settings Automation and Amazon Buy Shipping together are guaranteed to meet it.

A rule, not a fee. The risk is losing Amazon Business buyers on FBM offers after October 30, 2026.

Amazon FBM: handling times must match how fast you actually ship
From June 29, 2026, each seller-fulfilled SKU's handling time must match how fast you actually ship it. Amazon recommends turning on Automated Handling Time, which comes with late-shipment-rate protection. If a SKU you set by hand is consistently shipped at least one day faster than stated (Amazon monitors over 30 days), it gets flagged and you have 30 days to fix it, or Amazon manages that SKU's handling time itself. Custom, handmade and heavy-and-bulky less-than-truckload shipments are exempt.

A rule, not a fee. A padded handling time on a fast-shipping SKU gets flagged and can be overridden by Amazon.

Amazon on-time delivery: below 90% now pulls only the worst FBM listings
From February 28, 2026, falling below Amazon's 90% on-time delivery rate for seller-fulfilled orders deactivates only the listings that hurt your rate most. Before, all FBM listings were deactivated. Amazon can still pull all of them if you're far below 90% or keep missing. For standard shipping, you're protected from late deliveries if you turn on shipping settings automation and automated handling time and buy OTDR-protected labels through Amazon Buy Shipping or Veeqo.

A rule, not a fee. It eases the penalty, but late-delivery protection depends on buying labels through Buy Shipping or Veeqo.

Amazon cuts the FBM SAFE-T claim window from 60 to 30 days
From February 16, 2026, US seller-fulfilled SAFE-T claims must be filed within 30 days (was 60). The clock starts at the return delivery scan at your warehouse or the refund date, whichever is later. For lost shipments it starts at the last scan.

A rule, not a fee. A claim filed after 30 days is refused, and you keep the loss.

Amazon ends the high-value exemption: every FBM return uses its prepaid label
From February 8, 2026, all US seller-fulfilled returns go through Amazon's Prepaid Return Label program, whatever the item's value. The old high-value exemption is gone. Category exemptions still apply, including handmade, dangerous goods and extra-large or heavy items. Amazon points sellers to SAFE-T claims for refunds they dispute.

Amazon FBM: 4 calendar days to refund a return, or lose SAFE-T
From January 26, 2026, FBM sellers have four calendar days (was two business days) after a return arrives to issue the refund before Amazon refunds the buyer automatically. If Amazon auto-refunds, you generally can't claim SAFE-T reimbursement, except when the return was lost in transit or the delivery confirmation was wrong. The rule doesn't cover returns Amazon already refunded at first scan through prepaid return labels.

A rule, not a fee. Miss the 4-day window on a bad return and you lose the SAFE-T claim that could recover the refund.
